The Maine Press Association is aware of recent threats and attacks made against local reporters and calls on all Mainers to respect the work journalists are doing to report on the important and consequential issues and events in our state.
All news organizations accept criticism and disagreement in the form of emails, letters and phone calls. But there is no room for harassment, violence or intimidation in our democratic society.
